Participating Insurance Plans

Academic Dermatology PC participates with most major health insurance plans. Below are the insurance companies with which Academic Dermatology is contracted.

If you are not sure that we are a participating provider, please contact your insurance carrier (there should be a customer service number on your insurance card) and inquire as to whether Whitney D. Tope MD is listed on their plan.

If you do not see your insurance company, please contact either our Office Administrator Shelley C at 952-746-6090 to verify possible insurance eligibility or your insurance company.

Referrals

If your health plan requires a referral in order to receive care at Academic Dermatology, PC, it is your responsibility to make sure an appropriate referral has been requested prior to your visit.

Some health plans require a referral for each visit, others do not. If you do not obtain a valid referral from your primary care physician, and your health plan does not pay for our services, you will be responsible for payment.

If you do not have insurance coverage, you will be asked to pay for your visit at the time of service.
